About the Role
Responsible for servicing electrical and automation systems on ships, including PLC programming, HMI systems, and main switchboard panels.
Key Responsibilities
Service electrical and automation systems on ships
Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems
Modify and troubleshoot main switchboard (MSB) and starter panels
Select, install, and control VFDs; perform power cable terminations
Create electrical design drawings, single-line diagrams, and termination drawings
Generate MTOs for electrical systems based on design specifications
Use AutoCAD for reading and creating electrical drawings
Handle site installation jobs with physical endurance and time management
Communicate progress in English; work under pressure during limited port stays
Undergo training for IMOS patented product installations
Relocate and travel on short notice for ship calls
Candidate Requirements
2-3 years of relevant experience
Experience with PLC programming and HMI systems
Knowledge of MSB and starter panel modification and troubleshooting
Familiarity with VFD selection, installation, and power cable terminations
Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design
Experience with shipboard systems: boiler panels, AMS-PMS, MSBGSP, fire detection, PAGA, tank gauging, valve control
