About the Role

The Fitter interprets mechanical drawings and assembles components and sub-assemblies aboard ships, ensuring proper fit, function, and adherence to technical specifications.

• Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents
• Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and full mechanical units using hand and power tools
• Fit and align parts to ensure proper function and tolerances
• Conduct functional and quality checks on completed assemblies
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues and take corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve assembly processes

• ITI Fitter
• Familiarity with hydraulic or pneumatic systems
